Our Programs |
At Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society, we are proud to introduce our comprehensive Healthy Futures Prenatal Program designed to support expectant mothers in their journey towards a healthy pregnancy and postpartum period. Our program encompasses a wide range of services aimed at empowering women to make informed choices and lead healthy lifestyles during this pivotal stage of their lives.
Prenatal Nutrition and Wellness: We provide personalized prenatal nutrition information, offer prenatal vitamins, and even supply food gift cards to ensure that expectant mothers have access to vital nutrients for a healthy pregnancy. Supportive Care and Accessibility: Our program offers transportation and emotional support for doctor appointments and various services, ensuring that expectant mothers can access essential prenatal care without barriers. In-home visits and social networking opportunities are also available to facilitate life skill development and foster a supportive community environment. Community Referrals and Peer Support: Expectant mothers enrolled in our program benefit from referrals to community resources, including dietitians and counseling services. Additionally, peer support groups, community visits, and in-home support opportunities are provided to nurture a network of peer connections and facilitate mutual assistance. Wellness Education and Advocacy: We are committed to encouraging healthy choices and wellness through education on prenatal and postpartum nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and prenatal/post-body changes. Our program also offers information on topics such as, birth preparation, infant growth and development, and parenting skills. Non-judgmental Assistance and Advocacy: We understand that expectant mothers may face various health barriers and lifestyle risks, such as substance/alcohol use, addiction, social isolation, teen pregnancy, food insecurity, and legal or previous Children’s Services involvement. Our program provides non-judgmental assistance and support to navigate these challenges. Empowerment and Referrals: We actively advocate for and refer individuals to social support programs and funding sources to ensure that mothers have access to the resources they need for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum journey. Moreover, we offer referrals to prenatal and postpartum pregnancy classes to supplement education and preparation for childbirth and parenting. |
